Consulting & Planning

Every project begins with the question of how a space will be used, what requirements exist, and what acoustic character is desired. For existing spaces, measurement can determine the starting point. This leads to an acoustic concept that can follow DIN 18041, ASR 3.7, or VDI 2569 depending on the task, or can deliberately take its own path.

Planning services can be arranged individually for projects or in accordance with HOAI basic and special services. Room acoustic expert reports and verification for sustainability certifications such as DGNB, QNG, or BNB are also part of the portfolio offered.

Measurement & Simulation

Measurement of room impulse responses provides reverberation time and further acoustic parameters according to DIN EN ISO 3382. Additionally, the sound absorption coefficient of materials and components can be determined in a reverberation chamber according to DIN EN ISO 354. The results provide a solid foundation for every planning decision.

With 3D simulations in AFMG EASE AURA 4 and Treble, acoustic concepts can be verified during the planning phase and PA and voice alarm systems can be examined for speech intelligibility. Through auralisation, the future space becomes audible already in the planning process.

Added Value

From the first conversation to project completion, there is one contact person who personally supports every project. Experience from more than ten years of project practice informs every consultation. If needed, further experienced acoustic planners can be engaged as a flexible resource, so that larger projects can be realised without any problems.

The acoustic concept is developed in dialogue with architecture and interior design. Good acoustics need not prevail against the design, but can become part of it. This commitment requires that acoustic planning begins early in the process and takes design decisions seriously.

Needs-based planning and targeted application of acoustic measures keep costs in check and have proven effects on health, well-being, concentration, and efficiency in the workplace.
